Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman for Herman Miller

American, 20th century. A lounge chair (no. 670) and ottoman (no. 671) designed by Charles Eames (1907-1978) and Ray Eames (1912-1988), manufactured by Herman Miller, each with brown leather upholstery and having a molded rosewood veneer shell, on an aluminum base, with original manufacturer's labels on underside of both; chair oah. 32 in., ottoman ht. 18, wd. 26.5, dp. 21 in.

Condition:  

General wear to the piece including  some creases to the leather. Some minuscule losses at these creases. A few light scruffs, particularly on the legs. Small (0.25 in.)  chip to the top of the back of the chair. Section of abrasion to the wooden surface of the footstool. Some remnants of drip from the front edge of the seat towards the bottom of the chair on the underside, cleanable.
