Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997)
5/6/2016 - Modern Art: Live Salesroom Auction
Stepping Out
poster for Leo Castelli exhibition, 1979
signed l.r.
framed
50 x 34.5 in. (sight)

Condition:

Poster sandwiched between the thin mat board and the foam core backing. Mat board appears to be glued to the foam core. Print appears to be free of the backing board, but we are not entirely certain that this is the case. No creases, tears, but the mat prevents from seeing the edges. Slight warping to the sheet in the top sections with heavy ink. Slight smudge  that looks like a fingerprint in the "R" of "Roy." The only element of the framing keeping the glass from resting on the face of the print is the mat, but it appears to be sufficient.
