** W.C. Scott Finely Engraved Side-by-Side Hammerless Shotgun
11/3/2015 - 11/5/2015 Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
12 gauge, 26.5” barrels, S/N 50164. Re-blued finish to barrels. Finely engraved receiver with four game bird panel scenes. Cocking indicators, double triggers, and added hard rubber butt pad. Beavertail checkered wood fore end and checkered wood buttstock with beautiful graining.  Length of pull from front trigger to end of butt pad is 14.25”.

Condition:  
This high quality early shotgun is in overall very good condition with the majority of an old re-blued finish still present on the barrel set. The engraving is of fine quality, the actions are crisp and the wood very good with the fore end number matching this gun’s receiver. At the rear of the barrels’ rib is marked “Scott’s Improved Bolt.” The bores are overall fair to good.
