8.5" clip point blade, 2.5" false edge, 13.25" overall length. Markings on ricasso "
J.L. Putnam
" with an etching of a heart and knife. "S"-shaped steel cross guard. Ebony wood grips with German silver pommel and escutcheon plate. Complete with metal sheath with leather cover and brass tip and throat.
Condition:
Blade has minor salt and pepper pitting blending with patina. German silver pommel and escutcheon plate have a tarnished look. Crossguard has a dark untouched patina. Ebony handle has a crack running the entire length. Leather on sheath shows some crazing. Brass throat and tip have an untouched brown patina. Overall condition is very good.
