American Bowie Knife
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
8.75" clip point blade with a 3.5" false edge, 14" overall length. No markings on knife, but similar to Buck Brothers. Brass guard with brass ferrule. Rosewood grips missing silver inlay.  Knife is complete with leather sheath with brass tip and brass throat.   

Condition:  
Blade does show some scratches towards the tip and has salt and pepper staining. Brass guard, tip and throat of sheath show dark patina. Rosewood grips have nice finish, but missing silver inlay. The grips do have a few minor nicks, but are very sharp and crisp. Leather sheath has small tear on top and flaking on bottom. Overall condition is very good.
