Infantry Officer's Sword
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
32" blade with etched panels of floral designs and a military motif. In a gilt oval is marked
Bolton & Co Warrented
. Blade finished in blue and gilt. Fluted ivory handle with gilt three-tier crown-shaped pommel and guard. Leather scabbard with gilt finish bands and tip.
Condition:
Blade is excellent with most of the fire blue finish and gilt. Handle is excellent with nice patina. Guard and pommel still retain most of the gilt finish. Leather scabbard shows some crazing, the tip is severed from the scabbard, but still intact.
