A miniature pine tool chest of dovetailed construction, having a hinged lid and an iron lock mechanism with a key, the exterior retaining its original brown grain-painted finish, the lid interior with writing in brown paint obscured by a steamboat print titled HEAD SCHOLAR., the bottom lined with a sheet of paper stenciled F.K. Barrows, / Brattleboro.; ht. 8.25, wd. 18.5, dp. 9 in.

Condition:  
Some light wear and oxidation to paint. Some light rust and scratches to lock mechanism. Age split to bottom board.
