4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
12" curved blade with single fuller and 4" false edge. Gilded crossguard with panoply of arms. Bone handle with gilded back strap. Complete with leather sheath with gilt brass throat and gilt brass band.
Provenance:
From the Estate of Kenneth Erwin, Portland, Michigan
Condition:
The blade has some salt and pepper pitting. The brass furniture has a mustard-to-brown patina. The leather sheath shows wear and has some flaking. Missing the brass tip with a small hole. The brass on the sheath has a mustard-to-brown patina. Bone grips have a nice even look. Overall is good.
