Frontier Spencer Sporting Rifle
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.462 bore diameter with smooth bore, 30" barrel, S/N 1828. This Spencer was made from a military carbine with a specially period-crafted trick lever trigger and cut away action. Walnut buttstock and forearm with German silver diamond plate near buttplate and has a Spencer rear rifle site.

Condition:  
The frame, hammer, back lock, trigger and triggerguard have a peppered pitting blending to a dark patina.  Finish on barrel has a nice even dark patina. Stock has nicks and dings, but retains some of the varnish. Overall very good condition.
