Civl War "Turner" Percussion Rifle

.40 caliber, 31.25" octagonal barrel. Muzzle turned round for a loader. Markings on top of barrel "

" on German silver stock plate behind triggerguard. Markings on left side of barrel "

Hitchcock & Muzzy.
" Hitchcock & Muzzy made barrels from Worcester, Ma. and Schemann & Wirsing of Cincinnati, OH more than likely assembled the gun. Has browning on all metal parts and stock retains original varnish. German silver escutcheons on stock with two browning ferules. Gun has original ramrod.
Condition:
Barrel contains 75% of brown finish and stock contains 93% of original finish. Retains the original distinctive ramrod and knob handle. This gun is exceptionally nice. Overall condition is very good.
