Model 1888 Springfield Trap Door with Rod Bayonet

. Side lock marked
US Springfield
with eagle. M84 Buffington rear site. Breech lock marked
1884
. Has checkered metal pistol grip. Walnut stock. Front side blade has been replaced with a higher blade.
Condition:
Overall condition is very good with excellent bore. Arsenal pistol grip blends well in wear with the rest of the rifle. Stocks has nicks and dings. Stock has readable cartouche "SWP 1892" with firing proof behind trigger guard. Firing proof and stock maker's initials sit back to accommodate the installation of the checkered pistol grip.
