.45-.70 caliber, 22" barrel, S/N 176221*.  Sideplate marked "US Springfield" with eagle. M79 rear carbine site. Breech lock marked "US Model 1873." Walnut stock.  No cleaning rod in butt.   

Condition:  
Overall condition is very good with good bore. Stock has nicks and dings with a readable cartouche "SWP 1882" and a circle "P" firing proof behind triggerguard. This carbine has a very nice established look to it.
