.52 caliber, 36.5" octagonal barrel, 1.125" across the flats of barrel. Lockplate marked
Joseph Manton Warranted
. German silver patchbox with squirrel design cut on the back of patchbox. German silver cap box on cheek piece. Brass triggerguard with brass buttplate.
Condition:
Barrel has a plum patina. Some pitting around the percussion bolster protruding onto the barrel. Lockplate with nice dark patina. Walnut stock has a crack in the toe. Some nicks and dings.
