Colt 1878 Double Action
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.44-40 caliber, 7.5" round barrel, S/N 24248. Left side of barrel marked Colt Frontier Six Shooter. Left flat of triggerguard marked 44 cal.  Nickel finish, replacement grips.

Condition:  
Edges are very sharp, frame and barrel retaining 40% of the nickel finish.  Cylinder retains 75% of the original nickel finish. Trigger and hammer still retain traces of the original blue finish. Grips are replacements. Bore will clean to better.
