American, 19th century. A wooden gliding horse toy retaining its original paint decoration, with a leather and corduroy saddle and leather reins; ht. 32.5, lg. 38.5, dp. 14.5 in.

Property from the Estate of Jane Murphy, Shandon, Ohio


Condition:  
Some paint losses, especially on legs. A back hoof is missing it's metal horseshoe, stirrups are missing. A large crack in the wood where the head piece attaches to the lower neck and body. A few scattered deep scratches to the body. The frame is missing much of its original red paint.
