English Flintlock Pistol by Rawson & Co with Docs.
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.60 caliber smoothbore, 8" round tapered brass barrel with Birmingham proofs. Brass furniture with walnut stock.
John Rawson was a Birmingham, England gunmaker who flourished in the early 19th century.
Condition:
Barrel and furniture are excellent. Lock is very sharp and crisp with nice untouched patina. Wood is excellent with minimal nicks and dings. Ca 1" crack in the stock running diagonally from the rear ferrule to the barrel.
