.52 ca rifled, 41" octagonal barrel with patent breech with double tang screws, double retaining keys and all iron hardware.  Large buckhorn rear sight. Back-action lock and double-set trigger.  This rifle was made for the Western trade.

Condition:  
Barrel lock and hammer has dark even patina with some pitting around the percussion bolster and breech area.  Bottom triggerguard and buttplate have pitting and untouched dark brown patina. Stock has untouched finished with a few nicks and dings. Bore still retains rifling with pitting in between the grooves.
