Percussion Bowie Knife Pistol by Karolinenthal
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.31 caliber, 4" round barrel,  7.75" clip point blade. Ivory handles, German silver guard with shell design pommel. Marked on top of barrel "IN Karolinenthal" in silver.  Engraved on the breech, engraved hammer in serpent style. Tooled leather sheath with German silver tip and throat. Cleaning rod mounted on the side of scabbard. Cleaning rod is tortoise shell with silver tamper on end..

Condition:  
Excellent overall, with some traces of blue finish in the protected areas.  Blade has two areas of black staining on the tip of blade.  Scabbard is excellent.
