American, 19th century. A pie safe in poplar of pinned construction having a lift top storage compartment over sides, each with four pinwheel punched tin panels, all over a shaped apron and sides; ht. 49.25, wd. 46, dp. 18 in. 

This piece's construction is reminiscent of the Germanic furniture of Oldenburg, Indiana.
