.450 bore diameter, 34" round barrel with Rigby flats. Barrel marked
John Rigby & Co., Dublin & London
. Patent breech with engraved tang. Missing tang sight, front hooded sight with false muzzle. Engraved lock with safety. Lockplate marked
W & J. Rigby
. Engraved triggerguard; engraved and checkered buttplate. Fancy walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and horn cap. Checkered fore end with horn tip.
Condition:
Barrel is nice plum with some high blue in protected areas. Breech retains all of the original case colors. Tang with blue finish. Lockplate with tarnished blue. Hammer has the spur broken off. Very fine banknote-style engraving. Stock has been cleaned and checkering refreshed. Bore is excellent.
