German Percussion Sporting Rifle by Diem Mannheim

40 caliber, 32" octagonal barrel. Patent breech with Snell-style percussion bolster, back-action percussion lock. Top of barrel marked
Diem Mannheim
. Rear tang sight, adjustable rear barrel sight, blade front sight. Double-set triggers, fancy triggerguard, Schuetzen-style buttplate. Fancy walnut buttstock with checkered wrist, horn tip. Rosewood ramrod with a knob.
Condition:
Barrel retains 75% of the brown finish with the rest just thinning. Lock, hammer, breech and tang are very sharp and crisp with silvery grey look and some small spots of black staining. Stock is excellent. Bore is excellent.
