American, late 19th-early 20th century. A silhouette-form weathervane depicting a beaver, constructed of two pieces of sheet iron riveted together, the surface of both sides decorated in red paint, attached to a steel mounting rod; ht. 9.25, wd.15 in. (without mounting rod).
