Lot of 5: Bvt. Brig. Gen. Sylvester Churchill, Inspector General of the US Army, previous service in the War of 1812 and the Mexican War, brevetted for actions in the latter, had been Inspector General of the US Army for 20 years at the start of the Civil War, but died of natural causes in late 1862, early copy carte by Brady. Bvt. Brig. Gen. John C. Cox, Lt. Col. & Chief Commissary of Subsistence, 17th Corps, autographed beneath portrait

Col. & AAG US Volunteers Adjutant General Dept., earlier service in 6th US Inf. and 12th MA Inf., postwar copy carte. Bvt. Brig. Gen.
