American, 19th century. A silver plated fire trumpet with trees and flowers in relief, bearing the initials L.J.C.. The trumpet features a figural eagle holding a leather strap in it's mouth. A manufacturers mark is on the interior of the bell (partially illegible); lg. 23 in.
