Lot of 3: Bvt. Brig. Gen. Winsor Brown French, Col. 77th New York Infantry, possibly signed in ink on verso. Bvt. Brig. Gen. James F. Hall, Lt. Col. 1st New York Engineers, carte by G.T. Lape, New York, possibly signed in pencil on verso as Lt. Col. Bvt. Brig. Gen. John Howard Kitching, Col. 6th New York Heavy Artillery, earlier 2nd NYHA, wounded in the foot Oct. 19, 1864 at Cedar Creek, VA, and died of resulting complications the following January, received posthumous brevet, carte by Israel & Co., Baltimore.
