Lot of 4: Bvt. Brig. Gen. David Hunter Strother, Col., 3rd West Virginia Cav. and Chief of Staff to Gen. David Hunter, his cousin, before, during, and after the war Strother was a noted writer and illustrator under the pen name "Porte Crayon," including war dispatches for

, and was appointed General Consul to Mexico by Pres. Hayes in 1879. Bvt. Brig. Gen. John H. Oley, Col., 7th West Virginia Cav. Bvt. Brig. Gen. Joseph Roberts, Col., 3rd Penn.
