Three CDVs of Gettysburg Interest: Alex. Webb, CMOH, Horatio Wright, Sam'l Zook
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
Lot of 3: Anonymous view of Maj. Gen. Horatio G. Wright '37, four wartime brevets including Rappahannock Station, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg. Led a division in the 6th Corps at Gettysburg and advanced to corps command in time for the Overland campaign, fought well in the Shenandoah. Brady/Anthony CDV of Bvt. Maj. Gen. Samuel Zook, Col. 57th NY; heavily engaged at Fredericksburg where he was wounded leading a brigade, mortally wounded July 2 at Gettysburg while rushing his brigade into line of battle through the shattered 3rd Corps, brevetted for same. With a CDV of Alexander Webb, by O.H. Willard, Philadelphia.
