Raum, autographed beneath portrait, Col. 56th IL; commanded brigade in 17th Corps at Vicksburg and Missionary Ridge where badly wounded, later joined in "March to the Sea." Bvt. Maj. Gen. John C. Rawlins, autographed beneath portrait, with Frank Edsall, Goshen, NY imprint; Grant's Chief of Staff.

Raum carte near EXC, with sticker affixed to mount verso. Rawlins about VG, with minor chipping of albumen and some light soiling along perimeter.
