Model 1861 Special Rifled-Musket
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.58 caliber,  40" round barrel. Dated 1863 on the top flat near breech; V P and eagle on the left flat at breech. Three-leaf rear barrel sight. Eagle on the bolster, lockplate marked US LG NY Windsor and dated 1863. Three barrel bands. Walnut stock.

Condition:  
Excellent overall with the metal having been lightly cleaned. Rear sight still retains most of the blue. Stock is excellent with some nicks and dings. A excellent cartouche on the left flat of stock. Bore is very good.
