German Riding Crop August Wilhelm
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
27.5" riding crop of Prince August Wilhelm (1887-1949). "Auwi" was the fourth son of Kaiser Wilhelm II. He Joined the National Veterans group, "Stalheim." He was made Obergruppenfurher in the SA, but was denounced by the Nazi party after making derogatory remarks about Joseph Goebbels. Inscription on handle reads:
August Wilhelm, Prince of Prussia 1928.
Condition:
Very good. The top of the crop is slightly dented. Leather loop is detached, but present, and the bindings are loose.
