.54 caliber, 36" rifled barrel. Lockplate marked
H. Deringer
and large
US
markings. Bolster-style percussion conversion. Walnut stock with iron oval patchbox. Leather sling is Civil War period.
Condition:
Barrel is grey with staining running throughout the barrel from breech to muzzle. Lockplate is sharp and crisp with a grey look. Stock with some nicks and dings and sharp lines.
