Model 1868 Springfield Trapdoor Rifle

1869
dated breechblock, Walnut stock with two barrel bands. Later 1880s leather rifle sling.
Condition:
All metal has an even flow of brown patina with sharp and crisp lines. Lockplate and hammer have an even speckling of stains with dim, but readable, markings. Bore has sharp rifling with some light pitting. Stock is excellent with sharp lines and four crisp cartouches and firing proof behind the triggerguard, A large block "L". Stock has some nicks and dings.
