Whitney Model 1812 Contract Flintlock Musket
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.69 caliber, 42" round barrel. Flat lockplate unmarked, missing bridle, rear bar and spring, frizzen spring. Top of barrel marked with P eagle V US over the breech.  Walnut stock with three barrel bands.

Condition:  
Barrel is smooth and has been covered in a shellac that has aged and turned to dark amber. Lockplate, hammer and stock has had the same treatment.  Stock has nice sharp lines.
