Whitney Model 1812 Contract Flintlock Musket

.69 caliber, 42" round barrel. Flat lockplate unmarked, missing bridle, rear bar and spring, frizzen spring. Top of barrel marked with

over the breech. Walnut stock with three barrel bands.
Condition:
Barrel is smooth and has been covered in a shellac that has aged and turned to dark amber. Lockplate, hammer and stock has had the same treatment. Stock has nice sharp lines.
