American, 19th century. A pair of Windsor side chairs, one of fan-back form and having a shield-shaped seat with turned and splayed legs, the other of bow-back form and having a shield-shaped seat with bamboo-turned and splayed legs, the latter in green paint; largest oah 36.5 in.

Condition:  
Some small nicks and paint loss to bow-back chair. Small veneer repair to seat of fan-back chair.
