**WWII Colt 1911A1 Semi-Auto Pistol 1942 Navy Contract

inspector mark; Keyes grips with no ribs, slide and frame numbers match
Condition:
Excellent condition with an excellent bore. This gun retains ca 97% parkerized finish with only some slight high edge wear. This is a fine WWII Navy contract pistol. There is a book from the USS
Topeka
and several items from Seaman First Class Thurman O. Brotherton (uncle to our consignor), who purportedly carried this gun during WWII and brought it home with him.
