Half-Stock Percussion Target Rifle by J.Bandle, Cin. Ohio
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.40 caliber,  29.5" octagonal barrel with the muzzle turned round for a false muzzle. Top of barrel marked J. Bandle, 260 Main St, Cin O  E. Kettler.  Back-action percussion lock. Patent breech. Hood front sight with tang sight. Silver-plated brass Schuetzen buttplate. German silver plaque on the right side of stock with the initials DSG.  Double-set triggers; fancy finger loop triggerguard. Walnut stock.

Condition:  
Barrel still retains some of the original brown finish. Lock and hammer with untouched patina. Stock has a crack running through the wrist. Overall excellent percussion target rifle.
