.50 caliber, 28.5" octagonal barrel with patent breech. Top of barrel marked

. Lockplate marked
A. McComas
. Double-set triggers. Engraved tang, breech, engraved forward action lock. German silver furniture, German silver patchbox. Checkered walnut stock with cheek piece.
Condition:
This rifle has been sitting in a basement and needs proper cleaning. It has some storage rust on the top of the breech and on the lock. The barrel still has a dark brown patina. Stock is very good still retaining the original varnish. Missing the cleaning rod.
