Model 1814 Harpers Ferry Flintlock Rifle
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.54 caliber, 36" octagonal-to-round barrel. Notched rear barrel sight; small brass blade front sight. Lockplate marked Harpers Ferry and dated 1819. Left side of barrel marked at the breech with a US in oval, eagle and P in an oval,  Brass patchbox and furniture, walnut stock.  Hammer, pan and frizzen are replacements.

Condition:  
Barrel shows a very old deep dark brown patina. Lockplate has dark brown patina that evenly matches the barrel. Stock and brass with an uncleaned patina.
