American. A primitive owl decoy with a carved wood beak and ears, having round white glass eyes with dimpled-metal surrounds and hook-shaped talons of forged steel, painted with black and grey stripes against a brown ground, mounted on a removable wooden tree branch; ht. 19.5 in. (without stand).
