American, 19th-20th century. A pair of silhouette-form weathervanes depicting the American flag, the 19th century example with thirteen stars and remnants of red paint on both sides, the 20th century example with forty-eight dots and shades of red, white, and blue paint on both sides, PLUS a molded glass lightning rod ball of light blue color, having a hole in the top and bottom with a slightly raised lip; largest ht. 11, wd. 17.75 in.

Condition:  
19th century example with surface rust and pitting. Some scattered bullet holes and scratches. 20th century example with paint loss and scratches. Both missing support rods. Lightning rod ball with surface wear and chips around lips.
