Dufilno N. Orleans
. Presented here is a classic example of a Confederate foot officer's sword made in New Orleans during the Civil War by former cutler-turned-sword-maker Agruider Dufilno. Dufilno made quality edged weapons for Confederate officers during the conflict, but the number of swords he made are lost to time.

Very good. Missing wire wrap on handle and no scabbard.

35.75" overall. The fluted bone grip has a slight .5" twist. Brass hilt and eagle head pommel. The knuckle bow is a slot guard. The curved 30" single-edged blade with single fuller features simple floral pattern etching with liberty cap. Most gold filling and bluing.
