Model 1850 Confederate Foot Officer's Sword By Dufilno
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
29.5" plain blade, with 1850 foot officer's-style brass guard, leather wrapped handle, maker marked Dufilno N. Orleans. Presented here is a classic example of a Confederate foot officer's sword made in New Orleans during the Civil War by former cutler-turned-sword-maker Agruider Dufilno. Dufilno made quality edged weapons for Confederate officers during the conflict, but the number of swords he made are lost to time.
