Engraved Double-Barrel Hammer Shotgun by
Ant. Jg. Krebs In Wien
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
16 ga. 31" Damascus barrels. Engraved and gold inlaid receiver featuring game birds on the receiver and fox and dear on the locks; locks, and hammers, double triggers, extractors, back-action locks, horn triggerguard, high grade walnut stocks. Barrels marked "
Ant. Jg. Krebs In Wien
" in gold.
Condition:
Very good condition with very good bores which should clean to better. The barrels have a dark brown patina with the Damascus pattern still visible. There is a .25" diameter raised bump on top of the left barrel 7" from the muzzle but there is nothing visible inside the barrel. The wood is very good with minor dings and scratches and a hole in the belly of the stock where there was a sling swivel. This is a nice European shotgun worthy of a proper restoration or ready for a vintage shoot.
