Model 1863 Type II Springfield Rifled-Musket
4/30/2014 - Firearms and Militaria: Live Salesroom Auction
.58 caliber, 40" barrel. Date 1864 on the top of breech, V P and eagle on the right side of barrel at breech. Lockplate also dated 1864. Three barrel bands and walnut stock.

Condition:  
Barrel and lock have a uniform look of brown staining throughout with sharp lines.  Stock has some nicks and dings with two dim cartouches. Bore is fair; will clean to better.
