First Model Martially Marked Henry Rifle

with an
H
under the first C. Second type barrel markings, walnut stock with a cartouche on the right side of the wrist. Still has the early "perch belly" stock. Correct rounded buttplate. Rear barrel sight is missing.
Condition:
Barrel is smooth, sharp with nice untouched brown patina and traces of blue finish. Brass with dark untouched patina and haloes of grease around the screw heads. Bore is excellent. Stock has some nicks and dings. Stock has a visible cartouche on the right wrist. This is an excellent primary issued martial arm and very rare to find one for sale. This rifle was in the possession of a consignor and was in a closet for few generations. It is fresh to the market.
