4/12/2014 - Americana: Live Salesroom Auction
American, 19th century. A floral-decorated tole box attributed to the Bloomfield, Connecticut shop of Oliver Filley with red flowers and stylized gold leaves on a black ground, having a hammered handle; ht 7, wd. 9.25, dp. 5.75 in.
Condition:
Much of the original paint is missing, especially on the lid of the box . The latch is incomplete. No dents. Interior is clean and unpainted.
